Presence of Butterflies, itself defines bright colors, and presence of flowers all around. Butterflies get influenced towards the bright colors like purple, red, orange and yellow. Grouping colorful flowers is helpful in bring butterflies to your garden area.

Reason for flower relation of butterflies
After they locate the flowers having nectar they search for their nectar into them. Many flowers that seems plain to our eyes have ornate called as nectar guides that are visible to us. The flower pattern guides about the nectar source to butterflies. Butterflies probe the blossom   with its tabular tongue.

It is important to choose the flower where nectar is easily available for butterflies. It is advisable to use single petal flowers in comparison with multi petal flowers for increasing the chance of readily available nectar for butterflies. Like short, tabular flowers are more appropriate for butterflies.

Having various lengths in flower tubes helps in bringing different sizes butterflies nearer. Small butterflies sit on small flower for their nectar. Likewise larger butterflies choose longer tube flower for their nectar.

Look for your neighborhood environment that it complements your butterflies’ yard or not.  Adjacent garden provide corridor for your butterflies to move. Provide all resources to every stage of butterfly.

1. Choose caterpillar plant as well as nectar plant. Caterpillar host plants provide space to female butterflies to lay eggs and food to caterpillars. Most of gardener regard caterpillar as a pest but it is most interesting stage of butterfly.
2. Give preference to native plant.
3. Arrange the plants of different heights. Provide some sunny space out of wind, in the corner of the garden where butterflies can bask. Their bodies depend upon the temperature of air around and they need to sunshine to harm up with flight temperature.
4. Plant the flower of every season. It is necessary to provide suitable host plants for multi-brood species.
5. Provide shelter and perches. Butterflies need shelter to protect them from rain and strong wind.
6. Leave your yard untended that allows native grass to grow and feed larvae.

Butterflies are the insects. They are cold blooded creatures that have the temperature that is influenced by the environment. Providing some basking spots, rock walls and stepping stone that catch the sunrays in the spring is very helpful.

Creating shallow puddle in garden or just leaving the area damp is something which is really special to butterflies. A butterfly’s garden can take many avenues like having wide variety from natural flower to wild flower.
